Workshop: The Waldorf Curriculum - A New Expression  Martyn Rawson was an editor of ‘The Yellow Book’ (The Tasks and Content of the Steiner-Waldorf Curriculum), which has been the primary curriculum resource for Waldorf teachers since the 90s. Now he and European colleagues are engaged in a fresh expression of our unique pedagogy, but one which also embeds our practices in a wider educational landscape. In this workshop Martyn will lay out the key elements of A Common Core Curricular Framework, and invite participants to engage in the process of bringing this important initiative to fruition.

Veronica Crombie has worked as an educator, manager and mentor for many years at Brigit’s Hearth, a childcare setting in East Clare which incorporates both Waldorf Steiner and Pikler pedagogies for children aged 12 months to 6 years. Following her studies at the Pikler Institute in Hungary, she became passionate about the care of babies in their first year of life. She offers workshops for parents and babies, as well as offering support to parents of older children on issues such as sleep, discipline, routine and boundaries.

Lina Pelaez - At this workshop Lina will share how domestic activities and the relationship between the educators and the children can become the basis that helps us to create a home experience for the young child. We will discuss ‘childhood as a state of consciousness’ and how to create a nurturing environment where young children feel safe.
